Statement ShippingYouth (SY) is a non profit association, founded by Philip Overby and Martin Gimand in january 2007.   The purpose of the association is to bind the increased numbers of youngsters in the Danish shipping environment together for learning and networking.   It is the Shipping Youth’s goal to arrange events with skilled and experienced speakers from all over the environment and by that inspire the youngsters to gain new knowledge and wider picture of the extensive Danish shipping industry.  And further it’s the ambition to create a forum where youngsters can meet and exchange different points of view and experiences had within the industry.   We are happy to see the Danish shipping industry giving so many youngsters a chance to enter this amazing industry, and we hope we by this initiative will be able to make it even more attractive for youngsters in the future.   Rules of the association only in Danish.     Best regards,   Philip Overby Chairman
